Black and White … and read all over!

OMy sweet editor has studied photography for a while now. She was in Cashiers for a garden tour and asked if she could take some black and white photos to study the light in my house. I was happy to have someone else take pictures so I could concentrate on my guests and the tour. Here are a few examples of her work. Enjoy!

xoxo! Thank you so very much. The light is one of the main reasons I am keeping this house. The porches and the view are the other reason.

An artist friend lives by the code, if it doesn’t work in black and white, it doesn’t work. The house looks wonderful. Alastair’s bed!! Do I recognize the sofa?

Lovely photos, but could you publish them again in color? I’d love to see these rooms with the natural light and fabrics with your beautiful antiques. Thanks!

Thank you! My editor took them a few weeks ago. I think all of them have been on the blog before—I will look and re-post.

This house is positioned beautiful on this lot! I ‘inherited’ all of this lovely light from the original architect.
