Imagine living in this historic beauty.
Weekend—what a wonderful word!
On one glorious weekend we found ourselves in Savannah for the most stunningly elegant wedding and decided to take a little street tour in our ‘spare’ time.
What can you do in Savannah for an hour—house hunting was the answer. Mr. P was the navigator, since he grew up in Savannah—and he headed to the historic district. The weather was perfect and the gardens were still lush and green.
This weekend why not take a little road trip to Savannah and enjoy the beauty of the historic district by car or on foot. Be sure to stop by Clary’s for a little snack or a full breakfast.

I love the intricate iron rails.

The gardens were all lush and green.

A closer look is better.

Great blue doors against this red brick.

Another secret garden to draw you in.

I feel like Alice now.

The lower level windows and openings really make a statement—Double Ovals.

Love the single round opening and the pierced wall.

Love these double round openings covered by ivy—hate all of the cars in the way.

Wow, what a statement!

I can’t resist a closer look—love the creeping fig wall.

The arching palms almost form a heart.

I love the windows and iron work on this charming home.

I think this one is so beautiful…maybe needs window boxes upstairs.

The side stairs and beautiful rails welcome you inside.

How about this little side entry—feels like Charleston.

Here is one just waiting for a new owner!

And be sure to include a stop by Clary’s.
