Great Porches and Patios

English garden tour

The pool is hidden behind the stone wall and has an amazing view.

It’s the perfect time of year to ‘think’ porches and patios. I love a great porch for lounging, entertaining or taking a quiet afternoon nap. Try adding new cushions and an area rug to define the space and add a little extra color. Large pots of herbs add texture and fill the air with wonderful scents. Adding a few pots of hydrangea or ferns can also add color and privacy from that really close neighbor or road.

Patios always bring alfresco dinning to mind. Cover the area with a pergola and a few flowering vines, candles or twinkle lights, and you are instantly transported to a magical place. Here are a few great porches and patios to inspire you—and hopefully bring a smile to your face. Click on the video link below to see lots of ideas for that perfect porch or patio.
