House Crush N°15

HToday’s house crush is a beautiful Georgian home designed in 1929 by Philip Shutze, one of Atlanta’s most illustrious architects. A new homeowner restored this estate to perfection a few years ago. The landscaping figured prominently on this corner lot, and the grounds were were also beautifully restored with incredible attention to detail. I was excited to see the home restored and not torn down, as so many older homes are in this area. Several years ago I attended a wedding reception at this very home with my then fiance—now Mr. P.. I couldn’t even concentrate on the reception—I was too distracted by this amazing home. (Sorry, Mr. P.!)

Take a look and let me know what you think.

Lissy: this is my unwavering house crush. Heard Miles Redd, who I’m sure you know designed the interiors, speak this year about his book…and of course, Boxwood played a big part of that lecture. It is spectacular…a work of art. I even copied the agave planted urns out front…poorly copied but I tried
