Love Your House—or Sell it Now!

You know this house just has to wonderful

You know this house crush just has to be wonderful.

Seriously, you need to love your house. If it’s not lovable, what about selling it? Remember, being lovable has little to do with price. Make your home, in any price range, lovable.

One of my friends bought a house that she planned to remodel. She knew that once she did the renovations, she would love it. But life happened and she never found the time or the energy to do those renovations—and for years she didn’t love her house So now she’s moving, and you know what? She’s moving to a less expensive house—but she’s so excited! She loves it—right out of the gate. And isn’t that what we all want—to be comfortable, happy and excited about the spaces where we live our lives.

Make sure you enjoy the journey home. So I say, if you don’t love your house, maybe you should consider selling it. Build your wonderful life in a home that you love.

I completely agree, Lissy and now I’m thinking I could just live in that barn…the setting is incredible! Happy Wednesday!

Love all of these Lissy but the one with the green shutters reminds me of Nancy Braithwaite’s home she renovated with Norman Askins years ago. Have always loved her style. I totally agree either make the home you have one you will love or find another to love. In a previous life I had a much more spacious and enviable abode.
Circumstances changed and now I have half the square footage in what was a tract neighborhood however we’ve made it into a quaint cottage. Merry Christmas.

Victoria, I am not sure this is one of Nancy’s homes. I know of two others she has lived in. I love a quaint cottage—that is always my goal when renovating a home. Warm, cozy and charming are always a good thing to achieve.
