House Crush N° 35

Down the long drive is a beautiful surprise!

Down this meandering drive lined with boxwood, hydrangea, rhododendron and ferns sits the most charming House Crush. The cedar shake cottage has a lovely copper-roofed front entry flanked by beautiful lanterns and huge hydrangea—I love the planters. Inside, doorways and ceilings featuring old salvaged beams accent ship lap walls.

The beautiful home belongs to Francie Hargrove and features her comfortable and stylish mountain decor. This House Crush was also spotlighted on the blog Wednesday, featuring a dinner she hosted with James Farmer.

Have a little look around and gather inspiring ideas for your house.

House Crush!

Welcome—love the hydrangea.

This is a great idea—hydrangea in large pots.

The entry hall sets the mood for the house—I love the faux boise.

This tall clock is a great focal point for the long hall.

Horizontal boards line the halls and stairs.

The door way and ceiling are lined with old beams.

The living room is just lovely!

This painting once belonged to the late Charles Faudree.

Another view of the living room shows this beautiful armoire in the corner.

I love the way this piece is nestled in the corner.

The beams make a wonderful rustic and elegant statement.

More beams and antlers accent the view to the kitchen.

This cozy little space is situated between the kitchen and the dining room.

I always love a landscape painting.

Hydrangeas are featured all through the home. I love the dark lamp shade on the white lamps.

Another look at Francie, James and the kitchen.

The butler’s pantry is ready for service.

This wonderful porch was the location for the party.

The back garden is welcoming and shaded.

The back entry is as crush worthy as the front one.

Boxwood, stone walls and lanterns are always a good idea.

The bar—set up on a beautiful Faux boise table for the lovely dinner. Yes, please!
