Snow topped The Old Edwards Inn on Main Street in Highlands.
Winter white furnishings, winter white clothing—the ‘real’ winter white came to visit our house this weekend.
The snow started falling in a fine mist and changed over to huge flakes after lunch on Friday. WOW, what a wonderful surprise on Saturday morning! We stopped checking when the table top accumulation measured at eight inches! Snow, snow, snow … and more snow! Powder snow tops the ski slopes near by and they blow more every night.
If you need a little winter break head to the North Carolina mountains now to share the beauty and fun.

Our snow-covered roads remind me of that scene in The Holiday.

The slopes are looking great!
