House Crush N°23
The title of this post should really be—Crush on it All! This incredibly charming patio, Pavilion, garage and guest house is located at the home of Atlanta designer Beth Ervin. I have admired this home from afar for a while now, but the Pavilion porch addition connecting the existing garage to the house just threw me over the edge—I had to get in to see it! Luckily, we have a mutual friend, designer Ann Dupre. A quick text provided access to my ‘Crush.’
The Pavilion houses a large dining area with a grilling station and connects the house to the garage beautifully. It is all hidden from the street by manicured boxwood gardens and shuttered privacy walls. Little glimpses are available at the ends of the Pavilion to entice you in. To my delight, a little guest house is also attached to the end of this charming addition.
I have been searching for a way to add extra accommodations in Cashiers, and this is the perfect fit. I always seem to need just one more bed. My friend and architect Keven Hawkins came along to measure and photograph to use as a guide for my mountain house. Thank you Beth for the perfect inspiration to finish my renovation.
Who am I kidding—finish is not in my vocabulary!
